I read with horror about the man who found the letters in Altantic City. Why did he read them? Isn't that against the law to open someone elses mail? What about selling those letters on EBay? That was personal information those people only wanted God to see-now their personal stories will be sold on ebay? What kind of person would do this? Makes me sick to think about it. Financial gain from someones personal story. Mail tampering? He should be charged. Not make money!

The letters should not be read or sold. they should be placed on the alter and prayed over by a minister and then destroyed.
These letters were not meant to be ready by anyone other than the deceased minister or prayed over. I think selling them is a horrible thing to do, where are peoples morals?

The letters were not US mail, they were letters given to the minister at his church, as per the news article. So it is not illegal for someone else to read them. They were trash found on the beach. He made a big deal about them in order to sell them on EBAY. Basically blackmail, though, as some people who wrote them will probably try and get their letters back to keep them from being publicly read.
God would not have seen the letters, only the minister. And he did not even bother opening the letters--he was just scamming the congregation like most ministers apparently do, if you read today's headlines.

I don't think that they should have been opened and I definitely don't think that they should be sold on ebay. But that is the state of the world today, people capitalize on any and everything. Who ever pays them is just as sick as the person selling them.

Those letters should be taken to a church and placed on the altar as originally intended. The pastor or priest or reverend should then pray over them and offer a prayer for the pastor of the church who never bothered to do what was expected of him!

As for the person who originally found the letters and threw them in the ocean, may God have mercy on your soul for such heartlessness.

And for the father & son who found them and opened them, shame on you!

one element i assumed replaced into thrilling... the object would not say what he replaced into going to do with the funds. i wish that he will sell the letters and then donate the funds to the church that the priest/pastor replaced into with previous to passing away. If the funds have been used that way, then the ebay public sale might strengthen extra funds and the letters could be bought by capacity of yet another parrish. If he sells them and buys a flat-reveal television, i wish it falls and shatters 20 minutes after his guarantee expires!

I think it is very unethical to sell someones private prayers. The federal government should step up and claim these letters.

I agree with you. The letters should be put into a church or buried
