Anarchy rools in the yookay now. We are a country bankrupt in justice - only the rich can afford to go to law and the judiciary tend to favour those with money who can also afford the most erudite lawyers sans any moral code with an eye on the bank balance. To bring us back from the anarchy we now experience secret societies need to be curtailed, secret law courts abolished, those in power need to be made accountable. Politicians have their snouts in the trough, local Councils pass planning laws based on funny handshakes and PPF seems to benefit donors of political parties, whilst honours from political parties are being sold for hard cash. Our security services are out of control and manipulate the strings of power whilst we have democracy lite sold to us as the real thing.
We need a justice system where everyone is equal in the eyes of the law, where it is possible that an innocent man won't be shot down and the police won't shrug their shoulders if he is, where free speech is not abolished, where one can get accurate verbatim records of judicial hearings - in fact why not have every judicial hearing available to download on the net?
The rot has been going on under blue and red for many years. The only way to pull back is to stop voting the established parties and vote independent so that the whips don't prevent members of Parliament voting according to conscience. Problem is in an anarchic world no one has a conscience any more.
I have a dream - but am constantly brought back to the nightmare of our ruling anarchic elite who believe that when one robs Peter to pay Paul one always has the support of Paul - so this Paulene conspiracy to feather nests down the food chain gathers apace as snouts dig into the ever diminishing trough of fleecing the poor Peters to pay the conspiring Pauls.

Anarchy is never a good thing. Anarchy is chaos, mob rule. That is why democracy is such a dangerous system. It can very easily deteriorate into anarchy, unstable as it is.
Don't get me wrong! I love America and the freedoms we're given here, but we are not a democracy, we are a Republic. There is a huge difference. :)
And our freedoms were not won out of anarchy. The Revolution was actually very organized. Remember that before the Revolution, the colonists had gained great experience not only in governing themselves due to their long seperation (except by trade and taxes) from england, but also in warfare from the French and Indian wars.

No, anarchy is not a bad thing at all. In fact it is inevitable. When the people and organizations in power, stop doing things for the benefits of everyone and start letting the power go to their heads, anarchy is the only way to reestablish the status quo. In Canada, I do not think we are far off from anarchy. With a government who is to busy bickering to pay attention to its citizens and a police force that would rather shoot first and ask questions later, people are getting fed up and we are, like it or not, on the brink of a revolution.

Civilization is a compromise between tyranny and anarchy. If you have compete anarchy, you have complete freedom. You can do whatever you want and there is no governing body to punish you. In a complete tyranny you have absolutely no freedom.
So what we do is trade a bit of our freedom for protection. A person cannot steal from you because it is against the law. In an anarchy that person could steal from you as long as you did not catch him. In a tyranny, that person would be punished but all freedoms are punished. Even freedom of speech and religion.
What we need is a compromise that runs with as little government as possible. We all would have basic freedoms and would be protected against the assaults on our freedoms from others.

anarchy (as previously stated) is an abscence of rules or laws, but contrary to other answers this does not mean freedom. The very idea of freedom and rights can only exist within a framework of laws.
With anarchy you are "free" to do whatever you want, or at least whatever you are strong enough to do and get away with, nothing can be called yours as there are no property laws, if someone wants anything that is in your possesion then the only thing stopping them is your ability to defend it.
There is no freedom of speach as anyone that takes offence is free to silence you, freedom of speach and expression is a delicate thing that needs strong laws to protect it, which is why it usually shows up fairly late on in any civilisation.
You no longer have a right to life, as anyone that can is free to take it.
In my opinion anarchy is a bad thing, but feel free to disagree

Funny thing is a lot of so called anarchists want the condition as long as the benefits offices are open. Look further into it and anarchy means the state gives nothing. No health care, education, policing, benefits or taxes. Every one is on their own, is that what they really want?

Yes, first rule of anarchy is there are no rules? Anarchy is chaos, the strong will survive the weak will die, no no there must be rules. That doesn't mean those rules shouldn't be questioned. Politicians should be made to listen and injustices pursued, but we must have rules we all live by.

I don't think that your statement is strictly true. It was the Feudal Lords who forced King John to sign the Magna Carta. The Common Serfs had no say in the matter. In my view Democracy came here when The Cloth Cap M.P., was elected Kier Hardy was his name. I hope that I have spelt that Great Name correctly.

anarchy is a international of chaos, wars bloodbaths. a authentic jungle. imagine about it. the important purpose of authorities is to maintain stability interior of a civilization. till you favor to stay like an animal, we elect regulations to live to inform the tale. to the responses above me, do no longer understand what they're speaking about. to agree mutually on dealing with judgements isn't anarchy. Anarchy isn't having to be held in charge, no one to respond to to.
