I need to buy my boyfriend something, he's one of those guys that has absolutely everything though. When I ask him he says to get whatever I can afford and think is okay..yadah yadah yadah. So its narrowed down to uh, nothing? He's 23 and has a bizarre taste in music, so CDs or something to that effect are completely out of the question. I'm already getting him something small that he should appreciate but I really need something else.. Any ideas; or if you are a guy what would you want?

Thank you so much already, it's always easier to hear someone else suggest stuff, it sounds less stupid =P
Good luck with all your gift buying and Merry Christmas in advance ;)

A watch with a nice engraving on the back is a nice idea. If the something nice has a personal touch and he can keep it year-round then I'd say plan a weekend on an airballoon, riverraft, speed boat, fishing boat, plane, trolleycar..... there are tons of recreational opportunities that range in prices from only $28 per person (like the murder myster tours on boats, buses, and trains)......

Then you can keep that as your theme and buy some silly or practical items to go with it... i.e., if you are going river rafing get a lifejacket... if two two of you want to go on a helicopter ride or a jump from a plane, buy his flying stripes....

I could go on and on...but you get the idea...HAVE FUN.

ps IF he is a couch potato there are plenty of sports bars, video leagues, pool halls and good old fashioned baseball games that will keep him out of the action and still let you wrap up a bobble head doll for the memory.....

The Kookiest thing I ever did was buy the memory book with the gift card and it turned out my now husband, then boyfriend, felt compelled to fill it..... lol....so it was rather cute.

if he does have 'absolutely everything' , i mean the planets and stars and gasses and debris floating around in the universe too. then there is NOTHING left to get him. maybe a big empty black void to keep it in?

but seriously....there's a couple of sites that come up with those ideas for you. you can choose from a big list.

you need to notice when he says through the year 'id love one of them' and remember it . my partner drops hints which means i have to get him that gift , and then, something i thought of my self as a suprise. perhaps your fella just likes the surprise and wont tell you what he wants.

ask his mum what he used to write on his letter to santa. that would be funny if you got him something he wantd as a kid but never got. then im sure youd find it on ebay

I know what ya mean. My husband is like that. I know he would like something like a gift cert to a gun shop or passes to the gun range. Maybe a utility knife. Thats a gift I had him pick out for me to give a male co-worker one Christmas. The guy really liked it. I know it's doesn't seem that personal, but that's my experience with my man. If he's into that sort of thing, check into that line.

Get him something simple like a CD case or something he can use everyday and get it engraved. Depending on how serious you two are depends on what you can put. Nothing too mushy, guys don't go for that ****. Does he wear jewlery, that's usually good. Thumb rings seem to be making a come back.

What about a coupon book. Stuff in it like a massage after work. Dinner in your favorite restraunt, a movie of your choice. A weekend away. you can through some dirty stuff in there also if you are at that point, or keep it clean and sweet

depends on how much you want to spend. If he works outdoors you can get him some nice gear (Carhartt pants) guys usually won't spring for that kind of stuff on their own. Some hooded sweatshirts. All guys need them. If you want to avoid the clothes thing... something to help him enjoy his hobbies - camping gear, fishing gear, a nice cooler for tailgating, chairs (the real comfy outdoor ones that fold up), maybe poker stuff?

How about a gift card to his favorite restaurant and then he can take you! Or a gift card to a favorite store of his. Or a homemade coupon book that you make with different coupons he can use that say things like"Good for one free back massage" or "Good for one free home cooked meal" or "Good for........" whatever!

Does he have a MP3 or IPOD? I think an I-Tunes gift card would be good. That way he can download any combination of songs he wants to.
