Some great places to meet new friends are:

1. Church
2. Library
3. Local teen center
4. Your neighborhood!

You're going to have to get over your shyness and advertise yourself! Do you babysit, mow lawns or wash cars? Make up some flyers and pass them out personally. You'll soon find out when the folks your age live and you're sure to make a lot of new friends! God bless!

Stop stressing yourself out over it for starters. Be yourself and worry about what you need to do first. Your schooling is most important and getting your studies together comes first. After that find a club or sports that interest you, your good at, but most of all enjoy doing and get involved in that. Find a church in your area and get involved in an activity there. If your sixteen or older get a work permit and get a part time job if studies permit. By doing these things you'll meet plenty of people. Be yourself! If you try to be someone your not you will look like a fool, get embarrassed, and want to hide from the world. That would not accomplish your ultimate goal.

Also be choosie about the kind of friends you get. Don't settle for someone just because they are there. That could get you into a multitude of trouble. Don't be afraid to walk or run away if need be from others doing drugs, drinking alcohol, etc. and don't be afraid to report them to your parents, school authorities and/or the police department. You're probably doing them a favor whether they know it or not.

Take a piece of paper and set down in writing what you are looking for in friendship. After doing that classify the most important items on your list to the least important. After you've moved put that list on your bedroom wall somewhere where you'll read it every day as a guideline. Never judge a book by it's cover and never judge a person by their looks either. That usually leads to disappointments. If a persons actions does not match their words there is something wrong there. Stear clear of anyone who has a controlling nature and would order you around like a slave. Beware of those who play head games with people. They are troublemakers.

God Bless and good luck.

Not long ago I made the move from a small town to a much bigger area. I was worried because it was a bigger school and a lot more people. I wasnt sure if I would make friends there but I did and it definatly wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Its all up to you how well it works out I guess. Dont be shy and afraid to talk to people join a club or sport and meet people that share an intrest with you this will make it much easier to make friends. Just be confident and dont worry you will make friends no matter where your from.

You are who you are and thats not going to change, theres bound to be people who see you and just "get you" and bang, youve got a friend(S) for life.Just show who you are, and I bet people will come flocking. Music is the best form of making friends, because everybody shares a love of music, now what kind is up to you.
