Well, if you like let it snow by dino, then check all dean martin's stuff-he has a grweat voice, as does frank sinatra. Check Frank out. Others to check out are Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby(White Christmas if you are looking for a holiday classic), Louie Armstrong, Harry Connick Jr.(also has a x-mas cd that is great), Judy Garland(Have yourself a merry little christmas-my favorite), and Diana Krall

for winter songs just check out your local record shop - round about now they'll be getting in loads of cheap christmas compilations by people such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin.
for other 'nice to hear' songs you should probably just head straight for the Easy Listening section...

there are some elvis songs like "in the ghetto" and then i wouldn't really consider eric clapton old but he has a great song "Tears in heaven" its one of my favorites. Hope that helped.
