well at 3 km an hour,which is a decent pace,4 miles would be much to hard to sustain over a long time,id say 72 km,thats in 24 hours though

If they walked at a regular pace and never stopped for breaks, I would say about 100 miles.

average walking pace is 4mph. Don't stop and you'll get 96 miles. Though good luck with that.
