Like if someone asks a question they're curious about or want to gain some knowledge, then some people get feisty and start attacking the person who asks the question or start calling them names. Why do people do that? That's very rude. That's not worth 2 points.
For me, if I don't like the question, either I ignore it or I just remain neutral about it and I don't say "Well if YOU were in my position YOU would understand."
I avoid the word YOU because it sounds like it's attacking the person, if not used rhetorically.

If I answer a stupid question, I do it for fun and I never attack the person who asked it.

I've even asked questions out of curiousity (not to hurt anyone) and I got very negative responses out of that. Some people just don't read between the lines.

You have to admit, not you or this question, but some people do ask some off the wall questions here. I like to give what I think is a good answer to questions. We have to realize though, just like in society, there are people that are going to do outlandish things.
There is a lady here that asks some serious questions and people make fun of her, for instance, how she spells. I don't come here for spelling lessons and I don't think other people do either. I always try and give her the best advice I can.
It's way too easy to con deem other people, especially when you don't have an answer to their question.
There are going to be rude people wherever we go....we just have to overlook the bad and appreciate the good that we have!
Happy day to you!

I think alot of people use this as a forum to express their opinions on certain matters. If I don't agree with a comment, and feel the urge to write an answer, I'll say something that I think is comical. But I wouldn't attack another for their opinions. I find myself alot of times getting ready to answer a question, and then turning back, because the effort wouldn't be worth it.

Well, did you see the first answer you received?
Did she even read your question?
Is that an answer,or just a way to gain the two points?
She's ridiculous, but it is a common thing here,
Since there are points to be earned ,the shorter the answers and the more stupid and lame they get.
And i say someting about it,knowing they will fall allover me for saying what I THINK.
ALL THEY WANT IS TO HAVE SOME FUN:MY ADVICE TO THEM:GO PLAY WITH YOUR DOLLS AND NINTENDO.Isn't that more fun than reading and writing????
Does this ranting answer your question enough?
Or would you like me to go on a bit more?

This is an open forum so you can't restrict some folks from participating. When I do YA! I scan the questions and read the ones that interest me and answer those that I can lend something to. However, there are those on here who feel they must answer every question and I think they run out of things to say. The saying goes... there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. YA! has proved that theory wrong. There are dumb questions and even dumber answers.

The vast majority of people on this site are knee-jerking, holier-than-thou, ignorant, ill-informed, arrogant jerkwads. The only thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that they are so completely inept at having any sort of life outside masticating others in the anonimity of cyberspace is that one day they will probably somehow manage to get trapped underneath their own computer and will be desperately trying to send out SOS messages on the computer, but nobody will reply because they've pissed everybody off.

There are all types of people in this world and they are all intitled to vocalize their oppinion - - many of whom I agree that privilege should be revoked, but we all have a right to FREEDOM OF SPEACH.
This is a place for questions, answers, and hopefully discovery... So while some people may be ignorant and rude I guess we just have to allow them the satisfaction of self expression...
- You can click to minimize answers on a page if you feel they are rude or in extreme cases you can report those persons to yahoo...

Is that fair?they don't even know how Iran is like but they keep talking about it.Iran is great.

Well, some questions are just not serious, and those people deserved to be questioned but you shouldn't call people names for them asking a stupid or inappropriate question...
