I heard that it is the "time adjustment" in USA. All time will be adjusted accordingly. Do anybody can tell me more about that? thanks

as the days shorten in the fall here in the US the time is set back one hour at 3:00 on October 29 so that the time will follow the day light hours more closely. In the spring when the day light hours are longer the time is set forward one hour. The idea is so that those who work outside will have more daylight hours during regular hours.(like farmers) but in the modern time with all our clocks and automated farming I personally think that it is outdated.

DST was first mentioned in 1784 by Benjamin Franklin in a letter to the editors of the Journal of Paris. However, as the satirical article was humorous, it is extremely clear Franklin could not seriously propose that the French adopt it. The mere suggestion that a tax be levied on those who have their shades drawn during daylight hours, or simply that people should get up and go to bed earlier is ludicrous.
I do not like DST at all. We have just ended it . We are now in the Normal time. We will not puck it up again until the spring. And it will jump a head 1 hour (or Spring a head).
They just need to leave it alone.

The term is "Daylight Saving". It means that every clock in a given time zone is turned ahead one hour in the summertime, so that there is more daylight during the evening, when people are usually more active. In the winter months, we revert to "standard time" and switch the clocks back 1 hour.

There are debates both ways about whether we should continue this. Personally, I'd rather see the whole concept dropped. It causes more problems than it's worth, and with modern electric lighting, we can have lights anywhere, any time we need them.

It's called day-light savings time. it was started during the First or Second World War in order to conserve resources. In the spring of the year the time of the day is set one hour ahead and in the fall, the time is set one hour backwards. It was to create longer daylight hours so people would turn their lights on later in the evening.

It is time adjustment. It was originally started back in World War II to help conserve energy. Not all of the US is evolved in day light savings, states such as Arizona do not adjust there clocks ever.

What everyone said is true...but just an FYI to all.
Starting this March in 2007, Daylight Saving will now begin the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November.

I think this is rediculous, let's leave well enough alone!!

In Texas they don't have daylight saving because it confuses the cattle. Also the extra daylight hour each day ends to fade the curtains that much quicker.

That is where you can save a day like putting it in the bank. Hence, it is called Day Like Saving time. YOu put a day in the bank and use it when you want to slack off.
