Ya know, I've been having this problem too. Ever since I got Firefox 2.0 and a Zone alarm update I see this often. I just had to format ,so everything is new and this happens to me.
Many times closing Zone Alarm lets it through. I have no idea why because its set up properly and firefox has proper permissions.
On the other hand my own website loads really really slow in Firefox no matter what I do. I think I have some scripts in there firefox doesn't like too well.
For both of these problems., the sites work fine using IE. It is getting annoying. Time for me to get a new firewall.

If you're still using Fx1.5, download "view in IE tabs" from the add-ons pages of Mozilla. I have Fx2.0, and I think it's rendering all websites a littel better.
Do you have NoScript? Make sure you allow the sites that you would like to render well.

The only thing I can think of is the extensions might be having conflict with each other. Try to delete some of the extensions do don't need and restart Firefox.
