I liked the movie. I even named my bird after Chester Copperpot.
But I think they should not remake the movie. I would not do it justice.

I absolutely love the Goonies, but I think making another movie might just ruin the whole concept. It leads you to believe that everything does turn out ok, and what's wrong with that? Especially in a world where children's imaginations are clouded by hate, war, crime, etc. It's a movie that makes you feel good inside when it's over. I don't think there's justification for making anymore than the original.

a remake could never live up to the original. A sequel would be cool, maybe with second gen- goonies.

A sequel? Do you realize how old Sean Astin and Josh Brolin are? And, remakes are just a waste of time! No, one Goonies movie is enough for one lifetime!

I saw The Goonies at the Uptown Theater in Wash, DC when it was first released. I think one Goonies movie was more than enough.

Neither. a remake needs a real purpose (there is none)

A prequel/sequel loses the magic of the original

I saw when I was a kid, and thought is was god, but I saw again after 6 years and it wasn't that good. They can make a remake but way better so other kids can like it, but a sequel....no way.

I absolutely love that movie, but a sequal wouldn't work at this point--too long ago. A remake could be good though.

Remakes are good so that a new generation can experience a good movie and the technology gets better every year so i'd go see it just to compare to the original(Like Willy Wonka).
