Okay, not a Scrooge, but it's really bumming me out that advertisers are flooding the airwaves with Christmas commercials already.

Last year, we saw our first Christmas commercial on October 17. This year, we beat it, sighting the first on on October 9. It's become a tradition to spot the earliest Christmas commercial, and not buy any of those items at all. It's all fair game after American Thanksgiving, though. Don't mind so much then.

The Christmas gear is in stores alongside the Halloween stuff. It's really sick and takes away from the season. By the time Christmas actually rolls around, I'm sick to death of it.

How about just enjoying November for a little while? It's still fall. And it'll help make Christmas special.

I am buying gifts already, just not the ones marketed for Christmas specifically!

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas,
Jingle Bells,
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
The holly and the ivy
Silent Night
On the first day of Christmas
Mary's Boy Child

errrrrm..... yes I would say that I am rather excited about it!!!

I would not consider myself a scroogem though I think we do tend to overspend on presents and celebrations at Christmas. Not excited about it this year, as I hate being condemned to boring TV and doing nothing but eat on and off all day. This year I feel like spending it like any other day, food wise. I don't want turkey etc, How about a good indian instead? I don't mind if i have to work it. I have problems with my family at the moment so selfish as it sounds I don't really want to be with them, but kinda obliged to be.

I'm no Scrooge, but I don't get as into it as I did when I was younger. We used to have 30-40 people at our house on Xmas Eve, half of them kids. Now, all the kids are grown and some of us have kids of our own. Our grandparents are all deceased, and most of the kids spend time with their spouse's families....

So now we're down to about 12.... and it just isn't as much fun, with no little ones running around.

I love working twelve hours a day so that i can buy my child everything he craves. I love the bitter cold and the lines in the stores. I love the fact that more people buy Christmas trees than give to charities. Christmas kicks butt in my book! That and the fact that its Jesus`s birthday! Happy birthday Jesus! Peace to you.

I don't actually celebrate christmas, I am actually christian but my family believe it is a pagan festival and so we don't celebrate it. i still get presents though so it's all good.
I love the way everyone is so excited and I love being around people then because everyone is so optomistic, peace and goodwill and all that even though December is freezing cold.
