Yes it does, i can say that because i had my blinders yanked off of me last month. I was so in love with a woman that i could'nt see straight, after i walked away from the relationship i saw everything crystal clear. Sometimes you can't see things that's right before your eyes because Love make you look thru Rose colored glasses, it's only after the relationship ends that you see things for what they really were.

Instead of this, love enables someone to see the way someone never saw before. Intense emotions of love bring an object of true and deep desire close and complete in focus. The intense and profound convergence of emotions upon one special object makes people temporarily oblivious of the importance of many other things. This however does not happen without a reason – longing of love contains in itself our instinctive yearning to live forever and be the best. This is not blindness this is just a special way to see someone just so very much special.

Now, if someone says that love makes people blind then I think either they have not loved at all or they have not loved long enough to see better where they have been.

In some cases love does make you blind. It's funny how others can see clearly but the one person who is in love is blinded by that love and has their eyes ears and heart closed to anything else.
I have watched my children walk straight into what I could plainly see as a disaster, yet they have been so blinded by their feelings they do not see whats right in front of them.
It is so easy to be on the outside looking in but much harder to look when your right in the thick of it.
Isn't love a wonderful thing???

depends on what one understands by 'love'. You love another due to a sense of possession, then surely, it blinds. You see yourself in the other and love, as you must, then it expands your narrow vision and you can see better.Love may be demanding and still does not blind. It is the selfishness and physical demands that blind the one who loves

It's not love but lack of love which make people blind.

Nope.

My eyes still operate the same way they did before...
Or rather it is exposure to computer monitors on a regular basis that is making me gradually more short-sighted... Thats it.

However it is safe to say that the chemical imbalance in the brain that causes the sensation we refer to typicalls a "love" does result in a rather unhealthy bias in favour of the person in question, which in turn can influence other life judgements in an illogical fashion..... which isn't really helpful.
If you are referring metaphorically to that bias in judgement as blindness.... then yes..... but otherwise.... no.

Not literally, you can still see. Love makes you blind to the person you love faults. You have a wonderful view of the person you love and somehow manage not to see any their bad faults and the bad things they do or if you do see them your heart pretends ther'e not happening. If they are really really bad person you eventually be made to see it.
