Yes!My parents got divorced and I had to move with my mum and my sister with my dad. When my father married again,my step mother wouldn't let me talk to my sister or see her and my dad knew all this but he didn't move a finger.I cried a lot,I was crying home at school, everywhere. After a while my father got divorced again and I could see my sister.I've learned that everybody makes mistakes and I learned to forgive him even if that was very hard for me.Now,I decided to forget that and I'm happy cause I've let go of my past.

yes. I don't know if this is what you mean or not but I had a surgery that was botched and I almost died. It was a very long recovery process. No lawyer would take my case for malpractice and I had to have several other surgeries b/c of the accident. Other than the medical expense I had perfect credit. I had to file bankruptcy eventually. It was a really tough time. I had to eventually learn that I could start all over and just accept the fact that I have a huge ugly scar down almost my whole front and was penniless but at least I was still alive, because I only had a 10% chance of survival. I like to think of it as I'm here for a reason. I hope noone has to go through something like that.

Is there a reason for this question?? Do you have a story that has caused this question?? When someone has let go of their past it's usually because they don't wish to deal with it anymore and want to move on and just want it to be the PAST.. The past can haunt you and cause you so much grief if you hang on to it..
I had to let go of some stuff and forgive some people for some bad stuff but that is the past and that is where I want it to stay...

I usually move once a year to let go of my past. At least I used to. I have a hard time letting go of it, and a hard time committing to anything. My boyfriend settled me down and I've now lived in the same place for six years with all my ghosts.

Sometimes you never let go of the past and that is ok as long as you are able to move forward and go on with your life.

I've a bad habit of not letting go of the past easily. But I learnt that taking part in more activities to find more company to enjoy myself, or more work to keep my mind busy, certainly helps.

But it took a few months for me though. =]

You have to do what works for you. But think about all the things you had to go through in your life to get to this point. If things didn't happen, then you wouldn't be able to appreciate what you have now.
