Hackney in East London????

Question

Is hackney the worst place to live?
And can anyone point me in the right direction for statistics and charts for hackney schools and crime rates.

I work in the city and my firm have a lot of community investment programs based in Hackney (mentoring kids etc) as we are constantly being told that Hackney is the most disadvantaged Borough in the UK. Don't know where you would find statistics etc about this though.

Hackney used to be rough, but it's quickly gentrifying. It's definitely one of the better places to live in london because of its central Location and cosmopolitan population. Don't know about the crime situation. I personally have never experienced problems in East London.
