"Evangelical quits amid gay sex claim" By CATHERINE TSAI, Associated Press Writer, November 3,2006.
The Rev. Ted Haggard, The president of the National Association of Evangelicals, an outspoken opponent of gay marriage, resigned as president of the 30 million-member association Thursday after being accused of paying a man for monthly trysts over the past three years.
The acting senior pastor at New Life, Ross Parsley, told KKTV-TV of Colorado Springs that Haggard admitted that some of the accusations were true."I just know that there has been some admission of indiscretion, not admission to all of the material that has been discussed but there is an admission of some guilt,"
In 2004 Canada released its first-ever survey of "sexual orientation" revealing a one-percent incidence of homosexual persons. About 1.3 percent of men homosexual, about twice the proportion of 0.7 percent among women. THESE NUMBERERS ARE IN LINE WITH U.S. STATISTICS.

At least 90% Roman Catholic Priests and Nuns are probably gay. As for Protestant ministers, I would put that at least 20% are gay/bisexually.
My reasoning is that they go into the priesthood trying to hide/suppress their sexuality. To "cure" it, eventually they just are overcome by it and fall to their inner desires. They really can't run from their natural sexuality, it is part of them.
Unfortunately far too often it is children that pay for these inner sexual lies and self-denials.

So far, there is absolutely no proof that this man (Rev. Haggard) is gay. According to EVERY news story I've read, he stepped aside in order to allow the church to look into the matter, but continues to deny the affair.

I am incredibly suspicious of the fact that this "revelation" came out precisely in line with the upcoming elections. Haggard has been campaigning against gay marriage. What better way to undermine his position than to make him the center of a manufactured gay affair scandal?

I don't know if the man is gay or not. Frankly, it doesn't matter. This is an extremely sleazy political trick on the part of people who dislike him. The timing is no coincidence.

Who knows. But I do know this....until there is an honest, general understanding that your sexual orientation is NOT a choice, creeps like these people will continue live in the closet. I know, as I am gay. I knew when I was a kid, even though I wasnt sexually active until my 20s...I always knew....as does everyone else. So you struggle to be the exact opposite of what a gay person is stereotyped as...think about it. What better place to hide than with the wacked out evangelicals. Dont get me wrong, I am christian, but a methodist...not a bible thumping nut like these people. The pain these people are causing kids right now, who know they are different, is something they dont even think about. One day, this country, the government, the military, and churches will apologize to gays. Until then good people who dont understand the truth, and listen to the misinformation and lies about gays, will continue to be hurt when loved ones come out....all as a result of idiots like Foley and this evangelical creep from Colorado. It sickens me. Someone you know and love is gay too....you just dont realize it. Stop demonizing and learn the truth!

Don't let one bad apple make you think that all apples are bad!

Pray for this poor man, he has fallen into the trap of the evil one.

In this life, the bigger you are, the harder the enemy works to destroy you, temptation, temptation.

The lesson here is that we ALL need to be very careful.

Well, someone once stated: "Your greatest fear is your greatest obsession." I agree, I think a lot of gay haters are wrestling with their own internal conflicts. If you've been raised to believe being gay is "evil" you're going to fight your desires very strongly, embracing the church, etc. However, sometimes you just have to give in...
