I am 5'5 and 132 lbs. I dont consider that overweight, thats not the problem. The problem is i have a size 32 E cup. And its not plesent. I am 20 years old, and want to have children someday, and they are just going to get bigger. At this point I do have back problems, and breast that are not atractive to me. Should I get a breast reduction and lift? Is there any one that has had this and could give me a little more info. O and I dont have health insurance, but I am in school so that part sucks....any help please??

I have had a breast reduction and lift. It was totally worth it!
I went from an E to a C/D, and I can't tell you how freeing it is. They are still a nice size, but they aren't poking my eyes out lol.
I had THE WORST back problems, and after surgery I had none. My tips:
1. Complain to your general doc about your back pain and try to get a referral. Make sure you go to a reputable doctor because I have seen some bad reductions. I went to a doctor that was a who's who of plastic surgeons, affiliated with everybody, AND taught at Stanford University. Get THAT kind of doctor. More expensive, but worth it. I healed in a week!!
2. If you can't get loans from family and friends, see if the doctor has a payment plan for what insurance won't pay. There is GE Bank (I think that's there name), they give health care type credit cards with low interest.
3. Have a reduction (not too small) and enjoy the freedom to jog, wear a normal top size, and actually like your breasts.

It would be very beneficial in curing your back pain. I personally have never had one, I am male. But I do work in the OR and assist on these procedures quite routinely. You have to keep in mind that you will have scars. A circular scar around the areola, a vertical scar from the inferior areola to the infra-mammary fold, and a horizontal scar along the infra-mammary fold.

If you are a student you should try and get health insurance. Check with the school that you are attending, or discuss with your parents being on theirs. If you are a full time student, you are still eligible to be on your parents policy. When you have insurance, go to see a general practitioner and discuss the problem with him. Most insurance will pay for breast reductions. They usually base whether or not the will pay based on the weight of the tissue removed. Based on the size that you say you are, I have no doubts that you will exceed the minimum requirements put forth by you insurance provider.

Good luck.

I had a friend that had breast reduction surgery (she was in the same predicament as you), and she absolutely feels much better now.

Have you tried going to a clinic for people with low incomes? Breast reduction surgery is quite expensive, so you might want to consider getting a job that has insurance so that you will have a way to pay for it. If you have insurance, and a doctor says that medically you would greatly benefit from having the surgery, then your insurance should cover the vast majority of the expense.

Hope this helps.

Hi there! I know how you feel, i had a breast reduction at 20 (now 22) and i know its painful and uncomfortable.

If your from the UK then go to your doctor and tell him about your back problems. Keep going until he refers you to a surgeon.

I was lucky as i managed to get mine on the NHS so i didnt have to pay for it.

Mine were 38 GG asnd now im 36 C. The surgery wasnt painful but uncormfortable. I was off work for 5 weeks and couldnt drive for 6 weeks. If your like me i felt ugly going out with size 20 tops on when my waist is only size 12. If your under 16 im not sure they will do it as they say "but your still growing" dont let that stop you hun, keep on at your doctor.

If you wanna talk a bit more about it email me katefraser2@yahoo.co.uk.

Good luck

Relax, just be comfortable with what you have. People specially girls tend to dislike their bodies and over react to small imperfections. Send me a complete pic. That way I can see you properly and advice if any correction is needed. I am very sure that 90% you are exagerating your flaws which in reality is not the case.

At your weight, you certainly are not fat. You are a bit young to consider breast reduction, however, if you have concerns, please go seek Medical advice.
