Dang dude that sux! I so sorry. No I've never really felt like that. I hope I never want to put my head or any other body part through a wall. Yes, flowers are nice...but when she gets them and then confronts you about them are you going to say something else stupid? Don't do it if it's only going to set you up in a bad way in the long run. But if you think you can finally say the right thing to her when she comes up then yes definitely do it. If not, work on getting there. And when you can say the right things to her then send her the flowers. Because that will be special and she will like it.

Hmmm... you're feeling stupid and sending her flowers...You gotta be apologizing for something that you did to her that she does not even know about. She'd probably think, "OK what did he do now? Do I hafta hire a PI to investiquire this man? Flowers are a dead giveaway that you're hiding something, so if I were you I'd buy her that pair of leopard print high heels she's been admiring in town. She'd love you so much, she'd wear it for you every night.
