If you're by yourself and have good legs and use the transportation system there as well---1 day
If you have small children,need breaks and rest times----2 days
Haven't been to the zoo's Wild Animal Park,but I know it's quite a ways away.
SeaWorld is also worthy-the nation's first SeaWorld,not as many rides as most others,more animal oriented-would allow 2 days for that as well'
Check online sites for 2 for price of one tickets for Seaworld.Also,for the Zoo,a annual membership is cheaper than 2 days of tickets,but check their web site to make sure it hasn't changed......Have Fun!!!!!!!!
Love the San Diego area though,best year-round weather in the country

you can do it in one day, but two is more fun. Get up to the wild animal park too, its AWESOME!!!!
