Anyone else read Yahoo! current article about unread letters to God? I am so mad that the guy who found them, Bill Lacovara a Ventnor insurance adjustor in Atlantic City, plans to sell them on ebay! Clearly they are not addressed to him, there is nobody to claim them but surely those people deserve some respect and privacy. I would imagine those letters were intended to be left unopened and prayed over or some other reason. If the letters are that old and unopened there has to be a reason. What do you think? I want to send the man that found those letters an email asking him to rethink selling them, but I am not sure how to word it without sounding like a looney. Any suggestions?

One thing I thought was interesting... the article doesn't say what he was going to do with the money. I'm hoping that he will sell the letters and then donate the money to the church that the priest/pastor was with prior to passing away. If the funds were used that way, then the ebay auction might raise more funds and the letters might be purchased by another parrish.

If he sells them and buys a flat-screen TV, I hope it falls and shatters 20 minutes after his warranty expires!

See! you're a suitable party of why the KJV or an different that foundation itself on it really is going to not be study by technique of Atheist or novices....it really is a good study device for those those who're mature Christians yet not for little ones......"eunuch" does not have an same which skill now because it did even as KJV became written and the human beings who made the more moderen variations (that you're utilising) depending theirs on KJV... Matthew 19:12 (NABWRNT) 12 some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by technique of others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the dominion of heaven. Whoever can settle for this would want to settle for it.” Matthew 19:12 (NCV) 12 There are different the reason why some men can't marry. some men were born without the capacity to change into fathers. Others were made that way later in existence by technique of human beings. and some men have given up marriage through kingdom of heaven. in spite of the indisputable fact that the guy who can marry might want to settle for this education about marriage.” Matthew 19:12 (NLT) 12 some are born as eunuchs, some were made that way by technique of others, and some opt for now to not marry for the sake of the dominion of Heaven. enable everyone who can, settle for this fact.”

Selling things that are not yours to begin with is not good. That is like taking coins out of the fountain. Those wished are not yours, plus the person's wish may not come true and that is the person who took them, their fault if the wish does not come true. I don't open up your mail do I? Do not open letters to God, they are not yours. If the letter has your name on it, ok, then you can open it; if not, leave it alone,

I read that story, too and feel the same way. How awful of him to try to profit off of those letters. Can you imagine how much personal information is included? I truly hope that he rethinks that decision.

I'm not sure about the legalities involved. I'm not sure it's ethical to put them up for sale if anyone's name or personal information is listed. Even if they are 30 or so years old - but maybe I misread that part.

But I can't blame the guy for trying to make some money on a windfall.

Tell him that There will be a special place in heaven for him when he dies. Ask him how would he feel if he were in their postion. Tell him what about the people who felt that they were writing in confidence.

I read it too. How sad. Making a profit off someone's faith in God. What a jerk.
