Since I received so many stinging answers to my question that asked if you had signed the petition that was being circulated to investigate and indict Kerry, I thought this was a worthwhile follow up.::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Ponder...
In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity,
we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview.
When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in ...
and how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ 2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Maybe no one considers that Iraq is a necessary war and the GIs that are dying there are not for them, but there have been other wars and other GIs dying in them.

I think he was right... the U.S. has done a lot of good in the world...

but I also think that the reason why we have done so much good is that we take time and question our actions... I don't think you can "overthink" a situation when American lives are on the line..

there is a difference between being "anti-American" and questioning actions...

As a veteran who saw the statue of Saddam fall I greatly appriciate the sentiment.

However I was not defending the American people or my way of life in Iraq. Eagles football, cheessteaks, and dead people voting in elections would have continued with or without Iraq. The problem with this is that the aforementioned items are in more peril now then they were before March 19th 2003. We have created more terrorists and enboldened Iran and N. Korea because as the entire world now knows, America has turned this war into a political zoo and will not allow the military to do their job. As long as the war is fought in D.C. instead of Baghdad were are going to be on the defensive burning political capital by the bushles.

I gross oversimplification that doesn't take into account the people that have been jailed, beaten and killed for freedom who were not in the military. But I see your point.

BTW. What the hell should Kerry be indicted for? If making mis-statements is a crime then Bush should have been shot years ago. Should Boehner be investigated too? He's blaming the generals and giving the civilian leadership, AKA Rumsfeld, a pass!

What if you don't believe in Jesus ? Also I think it is rediculous that soldiers are dying for me. I never saw the point of the invasion and occupation of Iraq in the first place.
The American forces are dying because our leadership has no understand of Arab and Molsem culture, society, history or Middle Eastern politics. We have been lied to and mis led.

Blair was, of course, entirely correct. As for the business about dying, I would leave out Jesus, since, if you apply logical analysis to that story, you discover rather quickly that it makes no sense.
