Okay, I definetly know that my question when you clicked on it didn't sound right. This I know. Please read my real question.

I have seen many lawsuits against people who are racist against African-American people, Hispanic, etc. However, I have never seen any against people who are racist against caucasion people. Why? Have there been any?

F.Y.I I am very mixed. I have two types of Asian in me, Hispanic in me, Caucasion in me, and I have African-American relatives. I am just asking a question and mean nobody any offense or harm. I am simply wondering...

Why do I need to explain my race?

Well, simply because people get easily offended by people who are curious and have open-minded questions.

Last time I asked a controversial question without explaining myself and it was NOT pretty.

I know, I know, your probably thinking I add too many details. But, hey, what can I say? I like to talk, ask questions, and discover things.

Well the simple fact that you actually feel the need to state your family race mixture is ridiculous, Why can we not ask valid questions in a mature and rational way without having to worry about "offending" anyone. The mere fact that you need to write a paragraph stating that you are not racist and merely asking a question, is racism on their part...A white person should be able to ask a simple question about another race and not been seen as a racist, but as of now everyone is racist to some extent. whether it be a good or bad assumption about a race. I have not seen any official lawsuits against an African American.vs.Caucasian but I am sure there are there...plenty of situations in my town would validate one.

I think the reason why we don't see people getting sued for being against white people is two fold.

First most of the discrimination cases I can think of have been about people trying to get equal access (or just access period) to something that they have traditionally been blocked from.

The thing is that in the past and even up toward the current day the majority of people that have had the power to block people have been white. So if the reason the person is not allowing some access is because they are racist odds are the person would be white (just because of the numbers) and the victim will be of another race.

Of course with things becoming more equal and people of other groups are gaining power you may sadly see a rise in racism against white people (because you will find someone dumb in racist in any group). But also giving the fact that Whites are still about 70% of the American population I find it hard that any business, group will have much success if they don't take any White business where as the other way around (a business/group not taking business of someone non-white) might slip by.

there have been a few cases of Caucasian suing things like Affirmative Action programs.

Racism is a systematic discrimination of a race of peoples. It stems from the highest levels of our government to making a trip to the grocery store. When a national government supports discrimnation then it is very evident that racism is taking place. It still happens very much in South Africa and many other places.
Racisim can occur against a Caucasian, but it is very hard to say that a Caucasian American has been systematically discriminated against because the government has never systematically oppressed Caucasian Americans.

Past Governmental Racism
1. Segregation (Seperate is not Equal)
2. Poll Tax
3. Jim Crow laws of the South
4. Slavery

Current Governmental Racism
1. Racial Profiling of Middle Eastern Peoples
2. Red Lining Historically Minority Establishments (Keeping them from growing and attracting more wealth, by means voting down city initiatives, petitions and etc...)
3. Televisions negative image of African Americans (Not very positive images of young African American men, sure they write the lyrics, but who has the power to display the videos)
4. Hispanics in the construction industry (People are quick to find cheap labor, but then talk about "protecting" our borders.

From dictionary.com (2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination. )

Peace...

Your question at first seems very controversial, but you are right, it's a fair question. Although I don't know of any 'statistics' that reflect the number of lawsuits based upon race, discrimination is frequently an issue of non-white people in a majority-white world.

I think that the discrimination issue stems from many centuries in the US in which people of color were, in fact, legally discriminated against on a daily basis. With this kind of cultural and legal discrimination occuring constantly and with the general acceptance from the population at large, you have a painful history (which only became truly reformed in the early 1960's) that has created an atmosphere in which our culture has changed and there are no restrictions any longer on the advancement of people of color in everyday life.

However, as I'd said, this is very, very recent history - we're only talking about 40 years or so before the US was changed by law to give full rights to persons of all racial background. So, discrimiation still occurs, and because it has for so many years, it is usually people who are non-white that are the victims of it.

This does not mean that white people do not experience discrimination. As for why we do not see more lawsuits of discrimination by whites, it may be a few factors. First, it's cultural. We live in a culture in which all people are still recovering from a past of intense racism, and in that time, most whites in the US never suffered from such laws. Culturally, they were not 'at risk' of being discriminated against, therefore, they have not been commonly considered to be victimized, keeping in mind also that whites are still the 'majority' in terms of the racial make-up of the US. I am just speculating here, but I think that there are some whites who may feel that their cases of discrimination would not be taken very seriously, and so they decline pressing the issue. Remember to keep this in the context of the fact that whites (as a general rule) have not had a history of being discriminated against in the past, so they've not really 'known' what that can feel like... This doesn't take into account the fact that amongst 'white' peoples, there is a lot of discrimination that occurs based on people's ethnicity (Jewish americans, Arab americans, Eastern European americans, etc.)

What is important about your question is the fact that we are an evolving culture, and a day will come in our history in which the scars of years and years of legal discrimination will be healed and the US population will be far less likely to view themselves as being treated one way or another based on his or her ethnicity. Ideally, at such a time, ethnicity will no longer exist as something people would use as a way to judge character.

Probably because white people own everything. How many whites do you know that work for blacks. Think about it. It it were that way (IE that level playing field your always hearing about), then I'm sure it would go both ways.
Also (and this is my opinion) Black people are far less likely to be racist against someone they see everyday, as blacks are so much more inclusive than whites. White people have the tendency to hold on to their racial prejudices, (whether they even know they have them or not) until proven guilty. I don't think 50% of whites are hatefully racist, just scared really. They hate to say the wrong thing, and in turn it comes out as standoff-ish and arrogant.

I am not totally sure of what answers you are looking for here but, I must be honest you are so wrong, what about the Jews during WWII? Did you forget about those millions of people that lost theirs lives and everything they believed in? They are still being paid.
I am not a racist by all means but, have you seen the history of this country? The Caucasian is the one (Not all of them) who is always trying to screw someone, for the most part, I really do not see any other race trying to take or kill the Caucasian, I may be wrong but it is a personal opinion right?

First off you don't see those groups hanging or shooting or raping or dragging behind cars or trucks like those white hate groups have done. As a matter of fact they have not even come close to doing the things that the white hate groups have done to Black or Hispanic or Asians. Its not like those that are hated by the white man are angels and its not like the black, Hispanic, or Asians gang-banger have not killed as many of their own as the the white hate groups have done. But never the less I wonder if they are not hating themselves because of what the white man has taught them thru education and various other means.........

There's a saying in my family: "The squeaky wheel gets the oil." It applies here.

And yes, reverse discrimination happens all the time. But there are no lawsuits over it because caucasians are still considered the majority.

i don't understand this either... i think all creeds are inherently racist but not necessarily in a bad way... being proud of your culture is racist in essence because you distinguish yourself against others.

i am a father and would look after my son before others, my family before friends, my Friends before acquaintances and yes i want my country to win the world cup.

we all have racial differences, some which blend some which clash, but if we insult or harass someone because they don't fall into our group then whatev3r your colour etc. it should not be accepted..

There are lawsuits out there. They are mostly filed because of discriminatory hiring practices (quotas). They rarely make the news. Good question.
