A clan (often spelled Clan, in uppercase) is a group of vampires joined by blood relations (i.e. the vampiric equivalent of an extended family or lineage). A clan is usually a large group, acknowledged widely in the vampiric society, and not a small offshoot (which is called a bloodline).

Kiss Of Vampires

I think "coven" pertains mostly to witches. The answer seems to be "brood." This applies to a group who rally around a central leader. The site listed in Source below makes a distinction between the mythical "vampire" and the "real-life" "vampyre." Great question!

I think, since they are predators, they could be called a Pack.

Pack of Vampires.

Then again, think about point of view.

The Vampires might refer to themselves as a:Family, Clan, or if of magical bent, Coven.

The Hunters would stick to predator tems:Pack, call a common living area a nest, infestation of vampires..

Just a suggestion.

It's called a Coven, a coven is a secret group of Vampires bonded by a common leader or maker.

They're called a coven. And for some additional research and some inspiration, you might want to watch Underworld/Underworld Evolution with Kate Beckinsdale. There are references to covens in those movies!! Good luck with your story!

Groups of vampires are called a Kiss. Or a group of them living together might be referred to as a nest.

I forget where I read this because I read so darned many paranormal books. I did see it only in one book though, so I don't believe there's an official word for it.

A gaggle... If you're referring to real live modern day vampires, you would call a group of them... a gaggle of mentally ill, emotionally disturbed psychos and schizophrenics with a slathering of drooling retards.
