Can you become a CFA w/out past job experience?

I would like to take the Exam Level 1. Do I need prior work experience in the financial field.

You can sit the exam before working in the field but you can never get the full qualification without the experience. however getting the exam undfer your belt might help to get a job.

If you mean can you take the Series 7 or 11 exam, yes you need to have some experience, but that is simply because you have to be sponsored by a company who has an NASD membership.
