trading in stock and shares ,( equity etc .) is done at the bourses.
The oldest stock exchange in INDIA is the BSE - Bombay Stock Exchange.
Later in the 1990'S, when PHYSICAL Shares have been converted into DEMAT form (Electornic ) the NSE or National Stock Exchange has come in to existence and is also located at Mumbai. ALL trading is done through V-SAT, both at NSE and BSE.
