Does anyone know where to find the actual laws as to how many hours you can legally work per week in New York State in a salary position with no overtime compensation?

I don'y live in NY and was under the impression that working in a salaried position meant that your employeer didn't have to pay you overtime. But here are a few websites and maybe you can find the information you need.

Your state labor board may have guidelines. Also check your state's workforce commission/agency website for a local office.

Managment has never had a "work week" as to hours - they get the job done, in however much time they need.

Don't take things too literal on the internet. Every circumstance is different.
And remember just because something is illegal doesn't mean it's not happening and just because something is legal doesn't mean it should happen.

As far as I understand "salary" means that you do not qualify for overtime. It seems that that thinking is fairly standard.

There is no maximum. You can work for as long as you want.
