how can i go about getting a government loan to start a small business if my credit is totally shot ( from divorce from years ago),
I know theres a way through the government but im not sure on where to start.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or maybe some websites i can read about it on to help me find a way.

Contact the small business administration. They have government set asides for minority owned small business under the 8 A program.

You can do google searches for grants. But if someone calls you who seems to have an accent, don't give them any information... it's a scam. There are many programs for small business loans and grants. The paperwork is the hardest part.
