Don't just send the resume, send a cover letter telling them your specific situation. Explain why you would like to work for them, and even detail some relevant experience listed on your resume.

Living in NYC is nothing like South Carolina, nothing. The cost of living alone will be outrageous. You might consider seeking employment with a company that has offices in NYC. That way you can get to know a job well before deciding whether to make the move.

Your college career center should be assisting you with job applications and job searches. Make sure you get offical copies of your transcripts along with references from any of your professors.

Good luck...

You should always do a covering letter - don't just send your resume.

In it, state exactly what you said above i.e. you're willing to relocate and that you have three weeks left before you do.

if ur applying for jobs in another area it is implied that u will be moving. and if your qualified enough they will give u a call back or email and u can tell them then about ur time frame and reasons. it is unlikely that they will hire u in the first interview. some interview processes take longer (months). just depends on how fast they want to fill the position and how badly they want u to be working for them. most places will try to work with u on whatever time frame unless its absolutely ridiculous (and 3 wks isnt)

Include just what you have written here either in the resume or in a very brief cover letter. Be specific in stating when you can be there.
