I asked this question last night as well but I guess different people are online now.
There are four of us, we're kinda folky/trip hop/psych folk...lots of classical influence. Mandolin, dulcimer, accordion, piano and vocals. Names we've already turned down: The Kitchen Syncopators (there's already a band with that name!), The Mazukers, The Sporks, and The Rubber Ducks. Any ideas would be welcome!!!

Colors of synesthesia would be a great name for a psych rock band
synesthesia is a condition where you see certain colors when you hear certain types of music...
here is a link for some research on it... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grapheme-color_synesthesia
also:
In music → color synesthesia, individuals experience colors in response to tones or other aspects of musical stimuli (e.g., timbre or key). Like grapheme → color synesthesia, synesthetes rarely report the same colors for given tones, but individuals are internally consistent. Tested months later, a synesthete will report the same experiences as they had previously reported.
Color changes in response to pitch may involve more than just the hue of the color. Lightness (the amount of black in a color; red with black may appear brown), saturation (the intensity of the color; candy red is highly saturated, while pink is unsaturated), and hue may all be affected to varying degrees (Campen & Froger 2003). Additionally, music → color synesthetes, unlike grapheme → color synesthetes, often report that the colors move, or stream into and out of their field of view.

I don't know if these names are taken but...Hopscotch, Folkytown (like funkytown =P) The Twangers, Mandulacordiano, Half Baked Beans (Or something like that, to symbolize a folky camping trip), Boowah (or any other random sound, those are always cool).

Well, a friend of mine is in a band and one of the names they considered was Two Trains Running. I thought that was such an awesome name. Supposedly it comes from a Bob Dylan song...I think. They decided not to go with it. But I really like it for a band name.

nicely a sturdy initiate for the band could be the individuals bobbing up a popularity for themselves, i'm no longer attempting to be advise yet maximum bands think of of names themselves, and that they have got intending to the individuals.

Yes, I'd suggest 'Brago', it's a lucky word in the Ancient Era before humans existed.
