I am excited, the kids are going to be in the church play for the first time, and I think this year we are going to give to charity instead of going overboard for each other. One gift per child, and volunteering. I think it will be the best Christmas ever.

(the kids are 2,4,8 & 10, and even they know that it is better to give than recieve)

No! It is getting too Commercialized and people have all but forgot the true meaning of Christmas!( I don't mean the religious reason either!) I mean using the Holiday for Just sharing time with people you love and exchanging gifts without price tags and expectations! I miss the days when just wishing a Merry Christmas really meant something! When people use to enjoy caroling!Or sharing a plate of cookies or a card had just as much meaning as an expensive gift. It definitely isn't a Norman Rockwell Holiday anymore! That is a really sad reality! We all need to get back to how Norman Rockwell explained the simpler meaning of Christmas

I have 2 teenage daughters and a 9 year old step-son. None of which are young enough to buy cheap stuff for anymore. So, I'm not excited because I'll be paying for this Xmas holiday until next November. lol.
