If it was a formal acceptance of your offer to take the job and on receipt of that acceptance you incurred some financial loss. You can claim for that particular loss. Otherwise you are no worse position than you were before the job offer came up so you have nothing to claim for. There is the notional idea that you may have turned down another job offer in anticipation of getting this job but there is no reliable way of quantifying any loss in those circumstances.

If you formally accepted the offer (that is you sent in your acceptance by the date they specified), and you gave notice to leave your current employer and can't go back, then, I think you have a case against them. If you didn't suffer any loss other than disappointment, I don't think it's worth fighting. Move on.

This happened to a friend of mine. It sucks. If you have the offer in writing go to the CAB. They can help.

Even if you won the right to have the job as originally asked, would you really want to work there? They'd hate you!

It was probably an "at will" offer, if this is the case you unfortunately have no legal repercussion, they can fire you at any time.
