Hang on.. I ask for people's opinions on a news report and I get 2 thumbs down?

For those who can't be bothered reading the news article before dismissing it, the poll was conducted out of over 1000 people in the UK amongst people of voting age.

If people of voting age are deemed responsible enough to choose their representatives in government, why devalue their opinion when it comes to polls?

No, I did not alter any facts. If you had read the articles I referred to, you'll see that I merely quoted from it.

Or are you so pig headed that you don't see the need to see what other people are thinking? Why be on a forum like this then?

Americans & Brits will always disagree on this one. The truth is that the American media is not open and neutral. The news outlets are owned by a few giant corporations that have an interest in selling the government line.

For example, someone here mentioned Ahmadinejad was a hostage taker in 1979. It's proven to be untrue - one hostage thought he looked similar and he was wrong.

Another mentions that Bush is answerable to the electorate as part of a liberal democracy. But the Greg Palast and the BBC investigated the US elections and they were proven to be rigged.

The UK media isn't perfect, but it doesn't pretend Iraq is a democracy or the Middle East is better thanks to the wars. The UK media also shows the constant failure of the Bush policies. Something the US media hide. The UK media doesn't pretend Iran is about to launch a nuclear war, but instead reports the facts that Iran is years away from nuclear technology.

So I don't think its British citizen bias, I think it's exposure to independent news.

75% overall or 75% of those polled. Let me guess... They polled these people during a weekend and the majority of those polled were between the ages of 18 and 24.

You are implying that 75% of the population in Great Britain believe Bush is more dangerous than Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinejad. It is 75% of those polled. Not 75% of the total population.

If it were true that 75% of the total population believes your claim,
I feel sorry for you folks. God help you.

PS...

It isn't a matter of devaluing your opinion. You knowingly tried to alter the facts that your opinion were based on.

As for "If people of voting age are deemed responsible enough to choose their representatives in government, why devalue their opinion when it comes to polls?"

Well, a person who would knowingly alter the facts to try and pass off their opinion as a legitimate reason isn't responsible enough to choose their representatives in government in my opinion. They have alittle bit more maturing to do. Hint Hint

Ask the Japanese and the South Koreans the same question and I believe you'll get a completely different answer. They are the ones threatened. Ask the People in the Middle East that put up with 7 years of war started by the Iranians that killed MILLIONS, or the Israelis that he claims to want to WIPE off the face of the earth. Maybe they need to poll people in Britain old enough to be out of school that have a slight idea of the real world. Do you people not listen to what those same two say constantly? America has never kept on inch of ground in any country they have ever fought in a war. World Domination. Amazes me the immature and stupid thoughts of supposedly educated people. If America wanted to take over the world they could and would have already done so. We don't want your problems, your starving people and your economic failures, or your street riots.

PS Columbo- how many times has he sent people into South Korea to cause unrest, murder, and kidnap people. Try researching his record. It is a capital offense their to own a cell phone or go to China for food. Most of his country is starving and he does not care. Yep he's a real treat to mankind.

No because he is answerable to his electorate in a liberal democracy.
It just means that 75% of Britons are don't value democracy. They read the Guardian too often and assume the BBC don't lie.

They are all the same man - has anyone seen them altogether? No. Through a little make up, they don their respective disguises as part of an international conspiracy to control and dominate the people of the world while they enjoy Pop tarts and booze.

I think that they are warped...all of them.

the truth is they only toe the line...Kim joing il killed millions of his own poeple by starvation and worse.

Ahmadinejad is the head hostage taker in 1979 and also a madman in power who believes death is greater than life...

Now you tell me? whos crazier?

The fact you can all claim Bush is the worst in comparison is mind boggling to say the least.

How many of you are sitting there typing in the comfort of your office or home with ahot cup of coffee and a danish right now...

Take a look around you Americans...Can you really believe that NKoreans and Iranians are better off?
