I'm assertive. I consider the difference to be...

Assertive: Being confident enough of your knowledge and wisdom that others will do what you advise them to do.

Aggressive: Being controlling and bullying others to do what you want them to do because you don't like the idea of being wrong.

I feel that I'm both. When a situation arises that needs prompt attention I quickly jump to it. If it isn't resolved within a reasonable amount of time I turn up the heat so that I can find a fix as soon as I can.

Many people, when seeing something that needs fixing, they keep walking and say "It's not my problem." or "That's not my responsibility.". Unfortunately, the world is full of those kinds of people. However, there are some people that don't jump to the cause merely because they are too shy or lack self-confidence to succeed.

I believe most people tend to confound both things. And everyone who's assertive will,at some point of their lives,be considered aggressive, because people(and non-assertive people in particularly)tend to confound one thing with another.
Even though I get shy around people I don't know,I consider myself assertive. And I've been considered agressive too, because of what I said above.

I am not assertive and that's usually what makes me aggressive! In Hannah Arendt's words: Impotence breeds violence. Yours truly, living example.

Not really. People walk all over me.
For whatever reason, my family doesn't. I guess I'm assertive with them. They're part of me, and we have mutual respect.

Neither. I'm very laid back and only become assertive when absolutely necessary.
