Who the hell wrote that? Do you think they just ran out of good ideas?

Seriously who ever thought it was a "good" idea to change the lyrics to songs to sell their crappy products -

and if they have to do this why can't they at least write somethign GOOD?!

I feel sorry for those singers in the ad though - as for many that will be the highlight of their career. . .

As for the Halifax ads, in which a bunch of geeky-looking bank workers try(unsuccessfully) to sing and dance to lyrically altered songs, well all I can say is I've encountered better singing and dancing down my local on "Karaoke/Disco" night. And at least you have an excuse when you're pissed.

Who else reaches for the "mute" button?

I do. Obviously the so-called 'songwriter' ran out of lyrics at that "mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm tasty!" bit. Everytime I hear 'Uh-huh!' from those women at the end of the current Halifax ad, I just feel like screaming my head off... aaaaaaaaaagh!!! Were these people that desperate for money?!!?! :-)

I read an article in Critique a magazine in the Scotsman that said lyrics are becoming more and more clever and witty. I think adverts are proving to be opposite

There is no such thing as bad publicity although these adverts are annoying they make you remember the products, the very fact that you posted this question is a part of their advertising. Stop being a pawn in their wicked game.

You wish you were like me, and not care about it. I ALWAYS press mute button when adverts come up, it's a reflex with me. It's because adverts are so loud. So, therefore, I've got a lot of things to think about but not adverts. Lucky me!

well tbh its alot more interesting to watch the tv adverts of people taking the p*ss out of songs to sell their products. i mean how can the cheeky girls sell records yet they do. and they have about as much talent as a rock.

yes ok its not a good song but its better than listening to chavs playing music from their mobile phones as i walk pass them.

It is appalling, but the Frosties advert is the worse advert of all time. There was even an urban myth that the kid had done himself in because of all the hate mail he got.

I cringe every time those ads come on the screen.

So embarrassingly bad - whoever thought them up wants shooting.
