As per my previous question,we live in Dubai (re-located from UK) and the weather here is quite hot. Can anyone offer any additional advice on newborms and A/C's? perhaps this affects her.
Special thanks to Island Princess, Kirsty D, Donna M and Nigel l.
I found your answers helpful and reassuring.
Its difficult living in this region in the absence of family and friends as we have difficult work schedules and no immediate support. I express my breastmilk (when not directly feeding her) and my husband is quite supporting and feeds, changes and helps when he can. Its very difficult to sleep when the baby does.
She does crease up as if in pain sometimes which is worrying and despite changing, feeding winding etc, she sometimes still does not settle which gets me thinking if anything is wrong with her. Aside from that, she's a bright, healthy and alert baby and we love her to bits!
Please advise accordingly.Thanks again!

Sounds like your little one has some gas trouble...my baby daughter had TERRIBLE gas problems when she was at that age (she's five months old now and has gas occasionally, but not like she did). Try bicycling her legs and then alternate that with gently pressing her thighs against her tummy to expel that gas. Also if you have a swing or a bouncy seat that you can put her in, that might help. Many times, movement makes a gassy baby feel better. Lastly, if you have access to a place that sells Gripe Water (like a health food store), that tends to help as well, especially if the gas is in their upper GI tract. Gripe Water helps them burp. Hope this helps. Congrats! :)

Edit: Oh, and about the AC...don't let the air blow directly on her, as babies (especially as young as yours) are very sensitive to changes in temperature. She can easily get too cold. A fan might be better (don't let the fan blow directly on her either). This summer when it was hot, we stripped our baby down to her diaper and I kept a cool, moist cloth nearby and wiped her down with it every so often to keep her cool. Also when it's really hot, try to nurse her more often to keep her hydrated.

Don't let the AC blow right on her. Talk to her Dr. Maybe he/she will have some suggestions. 30 years ago, when my first baby was born, it was 110 degrees in Seattle, WA. I kept him only in a cloth diaper, and I kept his crib shaded, and I gave him lots of fluid. If your child creases up like she's in pain, there is something besides the heat bothering her.

nothing is wrong. if once baby will accustom with the place, it will not be a problem. it will take little bit time. be patiene. i am also near by your country. so i know your difficulties. i am seeing many of babies here. even we can affect by a/c. but a/c is not affecting baby's health. if your house floor is made by carpet, clean forever. when baby sleep, you must take rest and sleep. don't bother about other things.
