I would go in to the hospital ... it's better to be safe then sorry right? might not be anything but at least you went and know for sure.

I must say that sounds a little funny since it shouldn't be hard at all to tell if your water has broken! You'll most likely lose the mucus plug first, which basically looks like snot, only lots of it! After that, if you feel a major swoosh, and you are suddenly all wet, well that was it! Sometimes some women just leak a little bit, and don't actually even lose the water until the baby is born. But if this does happen at home, go to the hospital right away! You don't want to have a dry birth! At 36 weeks, don't worry too much, you should be fine! Good luck!

I started off with no contractions no pains nothing just my back was hurting a little bit I was 35 weeks pregnant so I didnt even think I was close my water just broke I felt a little pop in my stomach (painless) like a balloon popping then there was a big gush and all of a sudden I was in active labor but my doctor explained to me it doesnt have to be a gush that it could be a trinkle or if you feel like your leaking you could have broken your water

trust me you will know if your water breaks but dont even trip on the water. I would get on the phone and call your obgyn and explain what is happnening and how far the contractions are apart. If they are continuous and start happening every five minutes go to the hospital. Your ob/gyn just might want to see you asap anyway just to check and make sure . My first baby they induced and the second one i went into labor and they ended up having to break my water so dont wait around for your water to break. call your doc and time your contractions.

Sex can cause irregular contractions that might not cause your cervix to efface or dilate but will just make you uncomfortable. I had those with my second baby and it was very annoying. You will know that your water broke if you either feel a big gush of water or a steady trickle that's enough to soak through at least one pad an hour. Good luck.

It's a huge gush of fluid. You will know if the water broke. But if you are having contractions, go to the hospital or doctor. Sex can induce contractions.

basically because of the fact you're dilated does no longer advise which you're some days away. often (with no need it achieved via the dr) a woman''s water breaks at someplace between 6 and eight cm dilation. you're able to nicely be dilated at 4 and one hundred% effaced for 4 weeks and nevertheless no longer bypass into exertions. Your physique is basically preparing, the comparable as a braxton hicks. would not advise a lot.

It can be hard at times to tell...when mine broke, it was a trickle at first...had to call the nurse to be sure, and then it started to gush. If you have any unusual amount of discharge (other than normal fluids), check with your doctor. You can have contractions before your water breaks...it's very common...they may have to break your water at the hospital to get things going...but you still have 4 weeks left, so they may want to delay your labor.

Sometimes a woman's waters breaks and she has a slow leak and other times it is a big gush. If you aren't sure call your doctor. However there some times when a woman's water has to be broken at the hospital so it is also possible that your water isn't broken at all. Good luck and congratulations!

You can have contractions and not have your water break. I have had 3 kids and mine never did on its own. The doctors always broke my water in the delivery room. Are your contractions coming regularly? If so, its time to go have a baby.

With my second child a large gush of water came out. With my third child I felt a popping sensation then I got out of bed and felt the water slowly coming out.
