I have to write an essay about this quote but i can't find when they DO blame the gods!

I think Marks answer is the right one (if there is only one quote), for this is the moment that his real trouble begin. What i do remember from school, maybe you can mention it, is that in general, in Odysee man is responsible for his actions and problems a lot more then in Ilias. In Odysee the gods only interfare by helping or by making things more difficult, while in Ilias people seem for the most part like puppets in their hands.

Accord to the story line, The gods of his time prevented him from returning home to his wife and family in a timely manner, they created many obstacles to prevent him from achieving that goal.....................................
