I just feel the need to drop out for a little while. Could I go to a homeless shelter in another state? A convent? Who would let me stay somewhere in exchange for chores or whatever? I don't think I could work more than part time because I'm not feeling well emotionally. Any ideas would be appreciated. It doesn't matter if it's very far away - I just want to be safe and anonymous for a while with a simple lifestyle.

See a shrink, I know its cliche'. Call a depression hotline, (search the web, sorry I dont know any off hand.) Dont run though, casue your gonna run back INTO your own problems eventually. I think we all go through this, so def dont feel alone. Sometimes life is rough. Tape this quote to your wallet, computer, front door.
"Life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it." It helps me alot. Good Luck!

good question. I would like to go camping and smell the fresh air once in a while. Depending if i have my own gear. eat edible food from camping knowledge and get away from the concrete jungle.

Visiting the ocean would be nice though. Just camping at the beach. that's nice.

check out teaching english overseas. many places in asia all you need is a bachelors degree in anything. i am doing it in korea and love it. you will definitely get away from your life as you know it. it also pays really well for what you do.
