How often should gauss be changed over an open wounde to avoid TSS?

I got cut up pretty bad, and I don't want it to get infected.

TSS is incredibly rare in wounds so the chances of you getting it are tiny. As a simple hygeine measure the gauze should be changed daily, twice daily if the wound it wet and/or bleeding.

I would leave it uncovered for a couple days depends how your body is .Mine usually will close faster uncovered and nothing on it at all for the first couple days .If your around where you have to have it uncovered lightly leave it uncovered ,then at night unwrap it.Peroxide is good with a qtip around the surface and poured inside when it starts to heal.Vitamin e after that.
