The best thing to do would be to be a CD folder. These contain specific wallets so all you have to do is slide your cd's in. These come in various sizes 24/48/96/192 for example depending on how many CDs you need.

Failing that you can buy desktop cd organisers, where you just slide in the cd and push it again to get it back. Argos sell both

Buy a cd case/binder. You can buy a good one almost anywhere for around $10. Jewel cases break too easily for permanent storage and take up way too much room.

Wal*Mart sells CD binders in the camera department. They're about $4 and hold probably 50 CDs. You buy the CD sleeves seperate, at $.94 for 5 sleeves. That way, you can buy as many as you need, when you need them, and you can take them out of the binder when you need to. This helps me keep my CDs organized because I can rearrange the CD sleeves within the binders, as well as change binders. This helps protect your CDs too because you're not sliding them in and out of CD sleeves to move them around, which can eventually scratch your CD. I only take them out when I want to listen!

an alternative option...some media programs such as iTunes or MusicMatch Jukebox allow you to rip your cds onto your computer along with the album cover artwork. You can then browse your collection by looking through all the album covers. Windows XP Media Edition also allows you to browse and listen to your cds through Media Centre. I've packed my cds away and just listen to them through my computer now.

Use an arrowfile CD/DVD organiser. They protect the discs and make them easy to organise.

Yeah, make or buy a Fabric/Vynal one. They work good.
