I have had a breast reduction 2 years ago. I am now 8 months prego, and wondering if i would be able to breast feed. The doc that did the surgery was not very good, on one breast i only have the ariola not an actuall nipple(no feeling at all). On the other it looks ok, but minimal felling.I have not had any tenderness of breasts during pregnancy, nor have I expressed any milk. Your opinion/experience with this would really help. Do you think I will or will not be able to breast feed.

I've had the reduction but not been pregnant since. There's usually a good outlook for breastfeeding after the reduction as long as you didn't have a free nipple graft. On the one without a nipple, I suppose the ducts have no opening for the milk to come out of so that might be a problem. But you wouldn't necessarily express milk during your pregnancy. Your body doesn't even make the milk until after the baby is born.
You should definately discuss the options and possibilities with your doctor.

communicate on your wellness care professional. in case you're breasts are inflicting a burden on your neck or issues respiratory or something of the like, ask your wellness care professional if breast alleviation is a effectual answer and what are the hazards and reward. if your breasts are slightly greater desirable than medium and are not posing wellness hazards, surgical treatment is costly and going below the knife isn't person-friendly - an entire chest is stable!

I have no professional experience of this, but it really depends on how much of the milk producing tissue is left. It may well be a case of try it and see.
