right click on network places and go to prperties.
there right click on lan and select properties
there u have to check properties of internet protocol TCP/IP properties there u willhave the IP address of your system

easy way - go to start select run - type cmd there just type ipconfig and press enter
u will get your ip address

the first step is to
1.double click on the network icon which is displayed on the system tray(the bottom left of the monitor on the task bar. the icon that shows two monitors one going off and on so as the other.)
2.select the properties button at the bottom right of the small popup window.
3.then at the list that appears select the tcp/ip option that is shown at the bottom of the list.
4.select properties then in the pop up window that appears the first ip address is your compuers ip address the one below is your subnet address.



or you can just
select run
type "cmd"

in the dos window that displays enter "ipconfig"
all your network card details including your ip address will be displayed.

Ok everybody seems to be telling you how to get your LAN IP im not sure that this is what you want but if you want your external IP as seen from the internet it can be viewed by visiting:

http://www.whatismyip.com

Ordinarily, you don't need to, and it won't help you much if you do: for the typical ISP subscriber, the IP address is assigned dynamically, which means that it can change from time to time.

start,run,type in cmd,then type in ipconfig it tells you your ip adress when done type in exit and press enter

go to start menu click on run and type "cmd" it will open the command prompt when it open type "ipconfig" your ip address will appear.

go to www.speedtest.net.It will show your IP - aaand you can test your speed :-)
