If they start - they have lasted too long! No good ever comes from being unfaithful!! (As for your comment about saving judgmental comments - I am divorced after a 21 year marriage because my ex had an affair - I just know how much they hurt) - but I also know how great it was to move on with my life without him and watch his world fall apart as mine has continued to get better and he will live with that regret the rest of his life!! He did me a great favor!! So are you thinking about starting one? Have you ever been cheated on? Of course not otherwise you would not ask this! I am not being judgmental but i can tell you if you want to have an affair be a "Real Man or Woman" and set your partner free FIRST! Don't keep them on the side incase it doesn't work out because sooner or later they'll find out and it would be over anyway!! Don't hurt them needlessly because you need someone else! Plus by being honest from before it starts - Maybe they will find someone better then you - they deserve it !

They last as long as you are getting excited about it. It's hormones you need the rush of the new love. It's called puppy love and the rush of hormones gets you to do it over and over untill this person no longer gives you this rush normally just a couple of months. The problem is, it is hard to stop once you start there will just be others. Don't let this ruin your marriage if you are not in love with you spouce anymore let them go. It's human nature to want what you can't have, and your spouce shoundn't have to put up with you getting it. I am not judging cause I have been there myself and know it's a hard habit to give up, but it is also wrong and unfair....

It depends. My ex cheated on me for about 14 months before he left me for her (she was 3 states over from me, and he seen her because he drove truck long haul beside her all the time). Then again, I've had boyfriends that cheated once or twice and that was it. So each person is different and it depends on what they are looking for. Just a quick romp in the hay or an excuse to get out of a marriage.

That is like asking how long any relationship lasts, no one could predict. I am not judging, this is just my opinion - but extra marital affairs should never start to begin with. Cheating is wrong, no matter how you look at it.

I don't think anyone can say an exact time? But I do think the the majority of affairs come to an end after the "lust" wears off a little or until the other partner who is being cheated on threatens to leave....

There have been historical cases of men keeping one mistress for 15-20 years or more. But the man in question still stayed married. In the old times, the wife was there to bear children and to run the household and the mistress was for love.

It really depends on you. By using the word AFFAIR, I figure you're not talking about a 1 night stand. So, the legnth of the affair depends on you and your side dish. If and when you do call it off, walk on eggshells, a lot of scandalous people would use your breaking it off as a way to tear your life apart.

Usually for about 15 seconds after a normal person finds out their spouse is sleeping with someone else. That is the average time it takes to lock the door.

Let me get this straight, from your other questions I can deduce that the man you are sleeping with for 3+ years is married. Do you think that is right? Excuse me 4 judging, but it sounds like ur a homewrecker. Look 2 the Lord.

There is no real way of telling, some end up getting divorced from their current spouses and marrying the affair.
THere is some statistic that says that about 3 months mostly but I wouldn't bank on it.
