Why is it America as a nation are quite happy to delude their children about their history ie wars and politics I just had a conversation with an eleven yr old and he doesn't have a single clue about any of the true accounts of either, all he has ever been told is a pack of lies.
I actually feel sorry for him do you?

Well the funny thing is that I learnt the other day that America lost the very first war they ever started.
After they broke away from British control their first act was to attack Canada.
They got their butts kicked and lost two states!
Now that piece of information needs to be taught more often....

Yes I sure do. I too at 77 was told a pack of lies also and am still on the path of learning the truth. Just found out man does not have an extra rib like it says in the bible. Keep finding out more fairy tales all the time. All my life have had a strong belief in prayer but see this is more nonsense.

No, not really. It is America because of Amerigo Vespucci, a fifteenth century explorer and cartographer who was the first to argue that the lands discovered by Christopher Columbus were not Asia but a new world.
Take that eleven year olds.

It's an issue. Do you protect your kid from crap that has nothing to do with him or do you send him out into the world fully trained and armed to the teeth? Or do you let him find out in his own time. No eleven year old should be exposed to the realities of war and that goes for Video games. Video games make it seem war enjoyable and affects their ability to see the reality behind the such situations.

I think you will find that it's not just in America. It is all down to the propaganda at the time. I had a German penfriend once who knew nothing about the holocaust. I mean nothing. You only know what you're told about in lessons and in the media unless you bother to look a bit deeper.
Glad to see you are back out and about after your recent brush with the law. Have you found your cat yet?

To be honest I barely remember ANYTHING from ANY history class I took in elementary school through high school. And I was an A student! The parents in America are fine with feeding their children until their obese, and brainwashing them with fairy tales about christianity, so why would anything else like this surprise you? And how do you know YOU weren't told a pack of lies anyway?

In England we see Francis Drake as a great sailor. In Spain he is seen as a pirate. It all depends on your country, who is reporting about it and how the war affects you as a nation.

Most think that the Civil War was over slavery, how stupid is that. We sugar coat and white wash our history, it is sad.

America likes propaganda. America doesn't care about the truth, America cares about appearing good and making people believe America is good and nothing but good so that they will trust America.
It's sad. Even sadder is that other countries do this too.
