we had our ups and downs.....
but i had good set of aunties and uncles to look after us when we didnt have enough money to buy new clothes and things.....
but i think things like these make you stronger and makes you value what you have/get....
but either way i had a great childhood....

Oh yes. Damn poor and needy. No new clothes or good food for long times. I blamed it on the limited mind and laziness of my father. My mother was striving her best. I hate the feeling that I cannot get the least I wanted. I grew up with a lot of inferiorities because of that. though I fought my best to change that. We are a little better now. But I still chill by the thought of the past. I still row fortfully away from. I got really nervous answering this one.

Yes I did. My mother and father divorced when I was 4, and my dad never paid child support for any of the three of us. My mother worked to support us, but that was back in the early 70s when women had it really rough wage-wise. I can remember eating ketchup sandwiches for dinner, and many times we went without lights or water for a few days until my mom could get her paycheck and get the bills paid. I was the one in school that everybody made fun of because my clothes didn't fit right, or were hand-me-downs. I hated it so much.......and now, in my adult life, I own 75 pairs of shoes, because I guess I have trauma over only having one pair of shoes a year when I was a kid. Even still, my childhood wasn't truly HORRIBLE, as I lived in a neighborhood full of other poor kids, and we stuck together.

Yes
It was only me my mother and my brother up until I was 14 she got married for The 4th time. She is still married ,after my step father, brother and sister lost they job (that was at the age of 16 )and I got pregnant with my first child (born dead).it wasn't easy.
I have been working since the age of 14 just to support my mother AND i had to go to school as well I didn't complain once. It made me harder in life. I look better after my second born (currently 8 months old) and I am getting married
We were very very poor but I know at least how to survive.

That depends on who I'm comparing myself with. Compared to most others in my community - yes, I definitely grew up poor. But, I always had food to eat and clothes to wear, so I know that compared to other people around the globe, I grew up rich.
And I can now appreciate the little things in life and know the value of a dollar, so perhaps I grew up rich after all!

No, but my parents were such penny pinchers you'd have thought we were. My dad made more money than anyone else I knew (computer programmer) and yet we drove the oldest ugliest cars. $1500 is the most he'd ever spent on a vehicle when we were kids. Now he has a brand new Miata and splurges on everything. Just waiting for us kids to move out I guess.

well im in the middle to upper middle class, but ever since we just finished our huge renovation, i feel poor because i know longer get what i want, and to tell you the truth, i feel more like a family than ever, being an only child. and thats what rele matters. so it doesnt matter if your rich or poor.

Nope but i regret it for being spoiled and stuff.
I also am starting to have that thought that i should be doing more things like trying harder at work or opening a business to provide more jobs.
I'm also afraid because the wheel will eventually turn and lose what i have.

We had it pretty rough for awhile when I was growing up during a time when my father was layed off from GM. Luckily we had a very supportive family. My sister and I never wanted for anything though, we never realized how rough our parents had it until we were much older.
