I'm Canadian, and I have lived in the US for a number of years. As a general rule (but not always the case), neo-cons and war mongerers dislike Canada because it believes in peace, order and good government. On the other end, middle of the road Americans and those Americans who have issues with the current foreign policy of pre-emptive action tend to admire Canada.

I know I am going to get burned for my response on this, but I'm being honest.
I work in a call center and talk to Americans and Canadians every day. When we started taking Canadian calls about 5 years ago, they were very nice and cooperative, until they realized they were calling the US.
My experience is that Canadians are generally very rude and cocky. They are very arguementative when they don't get what they want and have no problems showing their aggression towards Americans. Obviously, this is something I could do without.
I would like to hear more answers from people who actually have day to day interactions with Canadians.

I did not know we really thought about Canadians. But since you bring it up I think Canadians are human beings and should be treated as people.

I'm American and I'm guessing your canadian.I don't thnik that theres anything wrong with canadians. I love canadians just as much as I love the rest of USA

I have done work with CANADIAN companies, for the most part they are just like us here in the states,however their taxing seems to be much higher than ours and this has a tendency to make them "cheap" by our standards but all in all I think they are great

My major exposure to Canadians has just been through television. Going by that, totally awesome. Much more creative and dry sense of humor than we get here...

Most Americans (like most people) are too wrapped up in living life to give too much thought to other countries. Overall though I believe that Americans love our northern neighbors. For the most part we like the way the Canadiens approach life with passion. We also appreciate the humor they import to us.

War mongers hate them.
Canadians are much like Americans ...the only real difference being, Canada doesn't become involved in war...they neither attack or are attacked. What a wonderful world!
