As technological advances in biomed, it is possible nowadays to "choose" babies' gender according to their parents favor. So they can order baby girl or baby boy or... Is it ethical or even justifiable for you? Please mention your standpoint (religious, moral/normative, legal, or else..)

Playing God is very dangerous. For every action there is a reaction. My question is by playing with genes and cromosones what other factors of that child will be inadvertently affected? And what if 90% of people want a boy? Will we be breeding ourselves right out of existance? Who will be responsible if and when there are mistakes and (you know there wiil be) a high percentage are hemorphedites or worse? Will there be a whole new organization to find homes for those children or will they be slaughtered? After gender manipulation, what is next? Will people ever be satisfied?

I think being that being able to concieve and carry a baby is a blessing in itself so just be greatfull for that. Choosing the sex i think is just a bit silly, it's not a trend to have a boy or girl the child will still be love and appreciate the parents if it's a boy or girl.

I don't see what the big deal with choicing the gender of your baby is. I mean some people have five boys and really want one girl, or have 9 girls and really want that one boy - what's wrong with that? Or eye color, hair color, hair type, etc. for that matter.
We pick out things we want in ever other area of our lives - our homes, our cars, our pets, our furniture, etc etc. It's just our nature as a society to have things perfectly tailored to our wants and needs. I don't see the big deal. That's what we advance in our technology, to make our lives more enjoyable. And if you have lots of money, you can have everything you want.

i think its kind if silly to pick and choose your child before its born, its like your trying to play "god" yet your not. I can understand how some people favor a boy or a girl but its the luck of the draw and what you end up with is what was meant to be.
