What makes me smile is knowing that I am still alive and was able to wake up that day. Knowing too that I still have a chance to make my life better and even if I have problems the previous day, I was given another chance to change things and to improve what I am as a person.
Every new day is a beginning, a new chance for hope and happiness.

My daughter.

Despite the fact that she is bouncing on my chest to get me to wake up, it's always cute to see her try and tell me I'm late for work.

Because she's deaf, she can only use her hands to talk to me, so half the time I never even 'hear' what she is trying to tell me. Still, it's something that can make me smile without fail.

A lot of the time I just fall asleep in her room on the chair next to her bed, so I always get a big kiss and a cuddle when I wake up. That's enough to brighten any day.

Yes, it is nice to think about our wonderful life, and of course our beautiful children. But, lets face it, sometimes we do take those things for granted. However, if your spouse makes you a nice cup of coffee, the aroma mixed with the feeling of someone else taking care of you, is an awesome way to wake up. That would make me smile.

How about just having that next day. We never know if tomorrow will be here. I know when I wake up it makes me smile to know I have this day.

my smiling 18 month old son - sometimes I am late for work because I doddle around the house a few extra minutes until he wakes up. he always wakes up happy, and his smile is very theraputic, especially when I know I have a long, busy day ahead of me.

just some music, usually Im quite euphoric in the morning though, right after waking up, but then an hour later I am grumpy. It's like the realization that I am tired waits just a bit to catch up to me.

Waking up on a Saturday and thinking you have to go to work then realising that you don't. One of the best morning feelings you can get.
