I suggest you call your cruise line. Often they have arranged for discounts with hotels located near the port from which they operate. Otherwise you can check on-line. Some of the better websites for hotels are Kayak, Priceline and Travelocity.

the cheapest hotels your going to find in miami is in homestead witch is about a 25 minute drive from the port of miami if there is good traffic but if its bad could be 60 minutes away. u could stay around 8th street and the hotels there are cheap also from $40-55 a night. or you could stay in ft lauderdal and there hotels are cheaper then miamis it all depends if u dont mind staying in a super 8 with crackheads walking around or a super 8 in the middle of a busy part of town.
