There is a very interesting creation Myth among a little Philippine island people. It says the world - as they know it was created from a fallen banana peel. True story. Sure explains a lot.

Not quite answering the question - sorry. My favourite creation mythologists are those people who debunk the big bang by saying that it is invalid because there must have been something that caused the big bang to happen, and then hypothesize that this 'something' was God, without realising that something therefore must have happened to create God.
To actually answer the question, I have always had a soft spot for Ganesh.
