A beautiful place in the country surrounded by mountains and a lake with genuine, earthy self sufficient people who love to help each other and who laugh, sing and dance together. No crime and no pollution.

I already have a dreamscape... and I'm quite happy with it.... at least until I wake up. Then I'm thrown back into the real world for a while.... and have to wait patiently to return home.

As for what my dreamscape is like.... It has many features to it. It has a city of sorts, but I don't spend much time there because its busy... too many people.... All rather annoying. I spend most of the sleeping time around either the Arc Canyon or the Forest of Forever.

The Arc Canyon is where I have a home of sorts.... though I don't spend much time indoors. The building is fixed to the side of the sandstone cliff ... and is basically like a wooden-frame with blue glass walls and a platform outside from which to launch and land. The canyon itself is literally like a winding gash in the ground with a river far below... having carved the cliffs near-vertically to leave them sheer and very tall. I tend to hang around the canyon because its a fun place to fly... Its usually quite bright there and it takes some measure of skill to follow the path of the river between the cliffs at speed.
Did I mention that I'm always telekinetic in the dreamscape? Flying of a sort is always totally natural there, and there is no other way to reach the building on the cliff-face otherwise.

As for the Forest of Forever... Its mostly just a collection of extremely tall trees which only have branches much higher up and are smooth lower down.... like pillars. Its always foggy in the distance, and always raining. Theres no other sound... no creatures living there or anything, and no small scrubs on the ground either due to the lack of sunlight (though the fog in the distance always glows an eerie white). The only real feature of significance in the forest is the massive old oak somewhere in its midst... with huge gnarled roots, some of which form a stairway up to the trunk... which has a spiral staircase running up inside it. Not only that but the various branches of the tree have bioluminescant natural lanterns hanging from them which glow a strange blue in the misty air and light the area around the old oak. The staircase inside leads up to the canopy lair of the forest... i.e. between the lower foliage layer and the upper... very strictly divided.... Its another fun (if surreal) place to fly.

Other places in my dreamscape aren't typically so.... consistant....

What would be the point? In a dreamland you would have to be alone to keep it ideal. And control everything to keep it perfect. That's how so many isms came to be and collapsed too.

You know the Borges short story, "The Library at Babel"? Like that, but with books that make sense. Or perhaps like the library in Kelly Link's "Magic for Beginners."

Seeing the common thread here?

No graffetti, no rap music, no loud music, no litter, car drivers that obey the road rules, police who arrest people for breaking the laws. No air pollution. Clean rivers. People with disabilities are treated with respect. People can get medication for permanent disabilities or illness.

A planet earth with no humans on it. That would be a perfect place. This way the earth wouldn't be raped by us.
